Zdravko Krpić is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek, Department of Software Engineering, where he specializes in high performance computing and modeling and design of software. His work focuses on scheduling in HPC, performance evaluation and optimization of HPC systems and SBC clusters, with a recent emphasis on bridging legacy systems and modern technologies.
He is currently the course responsible for the new Fundamentals of Mainframe Technology course and integrates work on legacy systems into his other teaching activities, aiming to increase student awareness of mainframe technologies and their relevance in contemporary computing.
While not a mainframe specialist, he contributes an academic perspective on how such technologies can be meaningfully incorporated into higher education curricula.
He has been involved in over a dozen scientific and professional projects and has occasionally worked as an external software developer, contributing to his broader perspective on software systems in practice.
